Why a ferret?
Because we believe that of all the animals, the ferret is the most capable of getting a good deal.
I just found out about Ferret Card! Do I need to register before I can earn stamps?
You will need to register a user account on Ferret Card in order to redeem iCode you have received.
If the merchant you visited is issuing Gold Stamps on the system via customer’s e-mail address, you can start earning Gold Stamps right away! Just give your e-mail address when making a purchase at the participating Ferret Card store, and the merchant can issue Gold Stamps to you for that purchase. Those Gold Stamps will be waiting for you on your account when you register with that e-mail address.
My friend has added me as one of their 5 best friends on Ferret Card, but I haven't registered my Ferret Card account yet. Will I still earn Silver Stamps and Diamond Stamps from those transactions?
Yes, you will already start earning Silver Stamps as soon as somebody adds you as one of their 5 best friends. To claim these stamps, you will need to register for Ferret Card using that Facebook account. Only Facebook users can earn Silver Stamps.
How much does it cost to join Ferret Card as a user?
Ferret Card is totally free!
What information does Ferret Card share with merchants?
Ferret Card provides only the minimum possible information to merchants. A merchant can only see your transaction history at that store. Merchants cannot see where else you shop, who your friends are, etc. Ferret Card will NEVER give identifying information to a merchant, such as your name or e-mail address.
However, your personal information may be used in the following ways:
- to generate statistics for the merchant. Your information will be used only in aggregate together with all other customers (and only if the merchant has a minimum of 10 customers using Ferret Card)
- to target rewards to particular Ferret Card users. By redeeming a reward, you may be indirectly letting the merchant know some basic information about you (such as the city you live in, your age range, your likes).
What information does Ferret Card share with other users?
Ferret Card shares the following information with your Facebook friends:
- - stores you have visited (you may be asked to share this with your friends on Facebook in order to receive your Gold Stamps)
- - rewards you have redeemed
- - reviews you have left (also visible to public)
We believe in sharing the stores you love with your friends, and to discover the stores that they love. What better way to find that hidden gem than to hear about it from your friends?
Note: Your 5 selected friends will always know which stores you visit, as they are earning silver stamps from those stores. If you do not wish to share this information, you will need to remove your friends from your list so they no longer earn silver stamps.
We sure do! You can view it at: Policy page
Who can review a store on Ferret Card?
Only Ferret Card members who have linked their account to a Facebook account.
How are star ratings determined?
Star ratings are calculated based on user reviews. These ratings are further weighted based on our own formula, in order to make it harder for individual users to unfairly skew the ratings. In general, the more you use Ferret Card, the more your opinion will affect a store's star rating.
How do I redeem a reward?
Once you have earned enough stamps from a particular store, you can redeem an available reward by presenting your Ferret Card mobile app to the store. Some stores may also be able to redeem rewards by giving them your e-mail address or Ferret Card number.
Why do I have silver stamps in my account from stores I haven’t been to?
That means that one of your friends has selected you as one of their 5 best friends, and has been to that store.
Whenever you earn gold stamps by shopping at stores, your 5 best friends will earn an equal number of silver stamps from that store.
Remember to nominate your 5 best friends in order to share the rewards!
I don’t have a smartphone. Can I still use Ferret Card?
No problem! You can redeem Ferret Card iCode on the Ferret Card website. If the store is issuing Gold Stamps via customer’s e-mail address, you will only need to provide the store with your e-mail address.
You may need to present the Ferret Card app on a smartphone to redeem your Ferret Card rewards though. This will vary between different merchants, we recommend confirming this with the merchant.
You will still have access to all Ferret Card features via our website, www.ferretcard.com.
My smartphone is not an iPhone / Android phone. Can I use that?
Currently we have no plans to offer Ferret Card on other platforms. However, you can always access our website www.ferretcard.com via your smartphone.
How do I earn stamps from participating stores?
Participating stores will issue Gold Stamps using one of the following methods:
- iCode. You will need to enter your unique iCode in the Ferret Card app or website to earn your Gold Stamps
- Customer’s e-mail address. Simply provide the merchant with your e-mail address, and they can add your Gold Stamps to your account.
Are all stamps the same?
No, stamps are unique to the store you earned them from. They cannot be substituted for stamps from other stores.
What is the difference between Gold Stamps and Silver Stamps?
Gold Stamps are stamps you earned when you shopped at a participating store.
Silver Stamps are stamps you earned when one of your friends nominated you as one of their 5 best friends, and they shopped at a participating store.
All stores offer at least 1 reward for Gold Stamps, and at least 1 reward for Silver Stamps.
Visit their Store Page to find out what you can redeem for.
